Michele Clark

Michele Clark is a junior in Hospitality Management. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she was stationed for nine years at three duty stations in Germany where she raised her two children. She served for 12 years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant on a team of 16 as a Telecommunication Team Chief. She holds a Bachelor’s in Women’s Studies from Temple University in Philadelphia and an Applied Science degree from Jefferson Community College in New York. Joe Dattolo

Joe Dattolo is a sophomore studying software engineering at Drexel University and is from Hackettstown, New Jersey. He spent 3.5 years serving on active duty with the U.S. Army as a Joint Fire Support Specialist at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia and Illesheim, Germany. Thomas Goodwin

Thomas Goodwin grew up in Marlton, New Jersey and is a senior majoring in Health Sciences and minoring in Exercise Science. He served as an Anti-Tank Missileman in Third Battalion, Second Marines. Thomas plans to work as a Physical Therapist after finishing his undergrad at Drexel and attending a DPT program. David Schmidt

David Schmidt grew up in Minnesota. He served in the US. Navy as a Nuclear Electricians mate and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan where he met his wife. He is now in his fourth year working towards a BSMS dual degree in Electrical and computer Engineering, as well as a Master’s in Robotics and Autonomy. He was the first student to study and Co-op abroad in Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic. David’s interests now are focused on AI and Neural networks at Drexel. Andrew Vitale

Andrew Vitale is a pre-junior majoring in mechanical engineering. He was born and raised in central California and moved to Delaware after completing military training. He served nine years as an Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (EOD) stationed out of Dover AFB, Delaware. He has had one deployment overseas and numerous small missions across the world. Andrew is a father of three; 13-year-old Kacey, 9-year-old Liam, and 2-year-old Brooklynn. In his small amount of free time not completing schoolwork or spending time with family, he likes to dabble in wood working and video games.  Andrew can be reached at

Nicholas Eltman

Nicholas Eltman served in the Army 75th Ranger Regiment for four years as a combat medic. He is a senior health sciences student who is minoring in exercise science and medical humanities. Currently, he is the president of the Drexel Veteran’s Association, an advocate at Goodwin College for students pursuing or interested in the Military Transition Program (MTP), and the student representative for the Exercise is Medicine ® public health initiative at Drexel. Nick is working towards becoming a physician and will start osteopathic medical school in the summer of 2023. In his downtime, Nick enjoys photography, weightlifting, and going to local parks. Sammy Gilligan

Sammy Gilligan grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and is a senior at Drexel University who is working towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with minors in exercise science and health services administration. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a rifleman and an LAV (Light Armored Vehicle) crewman. Sammy went on two deployments throughout his Marine Corps career and earned the rank of sergeant before he separated. Timothy Conroy

Timothy Conroy is an undergraduate transfer student studying engineering technology. Tim served 12 years on active duty in the U.S Army (2009-2021). He is currently assigned to the 904th Engineer Field Detachment, 411 EN BDE (U.S Army Reserves) in FT Indiantown Gap. Matt Conway

Matt Conway is a senior at Drexel University studying mechanical engineering. He served for five years in the U.S. Army as an infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he deployed to Afghanistan twice. His hobbies include woodworking, playing hockey, and working out. Matt can be reached at

Stephen Sherlock is a sophomore studying computing and security technology at Drexel University. Stephen served in the United States Marine Corps as an Intelligence Analyst for five years active duty in New River, North Carolina. Jamie Brown

Jamie Brown grew up in south Florida. He served six years total in the navy as a nuclear reactor operator on a submarine in South Carolina and Washington state. Jamie is a first-year student majoring in material science and engineering with a particular interest in nanomaterials while keeping an open mind. Fletcher Boyd

Fletcher Boyd is a sophomore majoring in real estate management and development who currently resides in Levittown, PA and grew up in Pasadena, CA. Fletcher served as a motor transport operator with Marine Wing Support Squadron based out of Yuma, AZ. Fletcher plans to work in commercial real estate/property management after finishing his undergrad at Drexel. Fletcher is also currently a licensed Pennsylvania real estate agent and specializes working with veterans to use their VA loan and to help maximize their earned benefits. Vincent Mason is a first-year student majoring in game design and was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Vincent served for four years as a hydraulic technician in the 552nd ACW in Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. He plans to work as a video game developer upon his graduation.
