The Impacts of Holds on Co-op

Steinbright reviews students' statuses in advance of each co-op cycle, specifically auditing to ensure each scheduled co-op student has corresponding co-op registration. If a student has an unresolved University registration hold, then they may not be eligible to participate in the co-op job search process and/or the co-op itself, potentially resulting in a removal of both the co-op cycle and a co-op experience with an employer, should a co-op position have been obtained and registered.

A student on hold will be notified by their co-op advisor if an unresolved hold will prevent co-op registration. Holds must be resolved by the end of the Add/Drop period of the academic term.

It is the student's responsibility to be aware of any holds that have been placed on their account, in addition to the impact that each hold may have on participation in the co-op program.
