The most enjoyable part of a program director's job is seeing a group of enthusiastic students grow and mature over years into confident, well-trained researchers. Our task is made easier by the outstanding caliber of the students who come here, and the superb faculty who teach them.

Drexel University’s nationally ranked College of Medicine offers accredited online programs including: Master’s in Clinical Research Organization and Management; Master’s in Clinical Research for Health Professionals; Certificate in Clinical Quantitative Research Methods; and Certificate in Clinical Research. All of programs are non-thesis, fully online, graduate degree and certificate programs. These clinical research programs are uniquely designed, taught by industry experts, and are tailored for novice to experienced research professionals seeking credentials and clinical management skills.

Our programs offer opportunities for networking, broadening of knowledge, exposure to clinical research, hands-on research opportunities, potential collaboration and professional development.

Our students are from pharmaceutical industries, biotechnology, clinical research organizations, site management organizations, academia and nonprofit organizations.

These multidisciplinary programs use adult learning principles as their foundations and incorporate seven areas of study:

• New product research and development (6 courses)
• Compliance and safety surveillance (4 courses)
• Ethics and law (4 courses)
• Regulatory affairs (6 courses)
• Biostatistics and data management (4 courses)
• Clinical research management (5 courses)
• New therapeutic product business and strategic planning (6 courses)

The concentration is developed to ensure that all learners have the opportunity to develop competency in these domains. Clinical research is a constantly evolving process. We strive to incorporate new courses into the program and have recently added: Information Technology in Research, Health Care Disparities, Patient-generated Data in Clinical Research; and Clinical Trial Risk Management.
