Hometown: Troy, NY

MS in Biomedicine and Digital Media - Class of 2023

Can you tell me a little bit about yourself before you came to Drexel?

Before coming to Drexel I worked in consulting as a product designer, collaborating with federal clients to implement digital solutions. I immediately became drawn toward projects that involved immersive experiences and gamification strategies to enhance training. Earlier this year, I started working as a Learning Experience Designer at Regeneron.

As a student and a full-time employee at a pharmaceutical company, how have your current studies helped you in the workplace?

I am able to better understand the work that my colleagues take part in to develop medicines, which allows me to design more effective training and learning experiences for them.

How did you hear about the Master of Science in Biomedicine and Digital Media, and why did it appeal to you?

I did a lot of research into part-time and online programs that offered game design, animation and interaction design classes. This program offered all of those topics, in addition to the opportunity to explore biomedicine and feel more connected to my work.

What do you hope to do once you have your MS in Biomedicine and Digital Media? What drew you to that work?

Once I have my MS in Biomedicine and Digital Media, I hope to continue designing digital products that further biotechnology and medicine. Creating meaningful and impactful work is what drew me to this field.
