    AJD Students:

The summer semester is a good time for an AJD student to complete a co-op. If an AJD student in the Class of 2025 would like to do a co-op “off cycle” (i.e. in a different semester than Summer 2024), please email Prof. Parambath to schedule a meeting for planning around that.

    Current 2L Students:

Current 2Ls who have not yet applied for (or completed a co-op) are invited to apply for a Fall 2024 co-op. Once I receive your application, I will be in touch to schedule a co-op conference.

    Current 1L Students:

Though current 1Ls technically qualify to apply for a fall co-op, 1Ls are encouraged to continue to take core courses in the fall of the 2L year and to apply next fall for a co-op in the spring of the 2L year or later.

Please email Prof. Reena Parambath at rep42@drexel.edu if you have questions about summer or fall co-op.

Laurie Besden, Esq., Executive Director of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL) of PA, will be available for virtual one-on-one sessions on Monday, March 4th via Zoom. Students who would like to request a confidential meeting with Laurie should sign up here.

LCL will also have slots available on April 8th, which can be scheduled here.

The hours on March 4th are dedicated to Drexel Kline students, while the hours on April 8th are open to all PA schools, so may be more limited.

Laurie offers confidential, discreet, and private sessions to discuss any type of addiction, alcohol issues, mental health disorders, stress, or depression – about yourself or others for whom you are concerned. She can also provide literature or other resources to address any ethical or bar application-related questions. All communications are confidential, and there is no record of the time with her. Other than communicating Laurie’s availability, no member of the law school administration is involved.

LCL is a non-profit, completely confidential resource that helps lawyers and law students who are dealing with issues related to alcohol, drugs, depression, and other serious emotional challenges. Left untreated, these conditions will sabotage a student's law school performance and jeopardize their admission to the bar. If you or someone you care about has any related concerns, please schedule a confidential chat with Laurie, or use LCL’s 24/7/365 hotline at 1-888-999-1941.
