    During the week of April 24, several CSO staff will be attending the annual NALP Education Conference in Vancouver, BC. The CSO office will remain open and Amanda Young, Program Manager, will be here to assist you. 


    During the week of April 24, several CSO staff will be attending the annual NALP Education Conference in Vancouver, BC. This is an important conference where law school career services staff network with legal employers and vendors from the U.S. and Canada. We will attend educational programs on all the hot topics impacting employment trends and hope to return with new ideas. Jennifer Whitehurst will be presenting on a panel for the first time! The CSO office will remain open and Amanda Young, Program Manager, will be here to assist you. Come in for coffee, tea, and water. If you email us during the week of April 24, we will do our best to reply in a timely manner, but please understand that we’re working and on West Coast time.

  • Spring Exam Reminders

    Remember to download the Spring Exams version of Exam4 at https://www.exam4.com/org/1163, and complete a qualifying practice exam by 5:00 PM on April 21st to be eligible for technical assistance.

    Remember to download the Spring Exams version of Exam4 at https://www.exam4.com/org/1163, and complete a qualifying practice exam by 5:00 PM on April 21st to be eligible for technical assistance.

    To fulfill the practice exam requirement, you must:

    1. Download the finals version of the Exam4 software
    2. Run through opening the Exam4 software using
      1. Your 5-digit Spring Final Exams ID
      2. the S23 Practice Exam – CLOSED file
    3.  Make sure you have no issues typing or using the multiple choice feature
    4. Successfully submit this exam file (it can be blank) by 5 PM on April 21st.

    Doing this early will help to identify any issues you may run into during an exam, and give us time to help you before that. Please allow a full business day to receive an email confirming your practice exam.

    Earlier this month the Career Strategies Office submitted its annual required graduate employment data to the American Bar Association (ABA). The CSO is thrilled to report that the Class of 2022 had the 3rd highest percentage of graduates employed in full-time, long-term, bar passage required or JD advantage jobs among all law schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

    Attached are the materials regarding the National Black Prosecutors Association (NBPA) Annual Job Fair taking place on Tuesday, August 15 at the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile Hotel, in Chicago, Illinois. The NBPA, established in 1983, is a professional member organization comprised of over 800 prosecutors. Our mission is to recruit, train, and advance the careers of minority attorneys as prosecutors at all levels of government. Our annual convention serves not only as a job fair forum, but as a comprehensive legal training program for prosecutors.

  • Summer Pro Bono Opportunity - The Andy and Gwen Stern Community Lawyering Clinic (Dornsife Center)

    The Andy and Gwen Stern Community Lawyering Clinic (Stern CLC) will have opportunities for students to earn up to 50 pro bono hours during the summer of 2023.

    The Andy and Gwen Stern Community Lawyering Clinic (Stern CLC) will have opportunities for students to earn up to 50 pro bono hours during the summer of 2023.

    The Stern CLC handles a variety of legal issues for individuals from the neighborhoods around Drexel, including homeownership, landlord-tenant issues, probate administration, estate planning, and post-conviction relief, among others. Volunteers may assist with screening calls, walk-ins, referrals, intake interviews, and representation; office and file management; outreach and relationship building; and/or legal research and advocacy projects.

    Volunteers will be supervised by the clinic’s Assistant Director and should expect to work the majority of their hours in person at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships at 3509 Spring Garden Street. Occasional working from home may be permitted as appropriate.

    Interested students should submit a brief Statement of Interest, resume, and anticipated schedule of availability to Rashida West (rtw27@drexel.edu) and Stephanie Dorenbosch (sad336@drexel.edu) by Friday, May 5. Applications received after the deadline will be considered if space remains available.

    The Thomas R. Kline School of Law's Center for Law and Transformational Technology (CLTT) is seeking applicants to join the Center’s Student Board for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Thomas R. Kline School of Law's Center for Law and Transformational Technology (CLTT) is seeking applicants to join the Center’s Student Board for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Board assists the Center in developing events, programming, and newsletter content related to the convergence of law and technology. Service on the Board will provide the selected students with the opportunity to delve into emerging issues of law, technology, policy, and regulation, and to work more closely with faculty and guests affiliated with the Center.

    Interested students should apply by sending a brief cover letter expressing interest and resume to the Faculty Director of the Center, Professor Robert Field, at rif24@drexel.edu.
