    The board, coaches, and judges were impressed by the briefs and oral arguments; it was a highly competitive group. Unfortunately, we could not take all the students who tried out, and we encourage any 2Ls who did not make the board to try out again next year.  

    Special recognition goes to our top 3 briefs and top 3 oral advocates who are:

    • Third place brief - Caitlyn Corey
    • Best advocate in the preliminary rounds - Danielle McLaughlin
    • Tied Second & Third place advocates - Josh Clark & Emily Marquez

    Students advancing to the semi-finals are:

    In the semi-final round Emily Marquez will be petitioner against Kayla Borowitz who will be respondent. Gianna Penezic will be petitioner against Josh Clark who will be respondent. 

    The final round will be on August 16 at 4 p.m., as part of 1L orientation. Details to follow. All new and returning members should join.

  • BakerHostetler Intellectual Property Diversity Scholarship

    Deadline: September 8

    The BakerHostetler Intellectual Property Diversity Scholarship is an annual scholarship available to first year (2L) students who have a genuine interest in the patent law profession. During their summer internship, we provide recipients with unique opportunities and experiences that showcase our nationally acclaimed IP practice. IP Diversity Scholarship recipients receive summer associate compensation as well as an additional $5,000 toward tuition or other law school expenses.
