MRC Event: Metadata in the Metropolis

Title: Metadata in the Metropolis
Date: Thursday, April 2, 2015
Time: 4:00 to 5:30 PM
Location: Rush Building, room 014

Please join us for the official opening of the Metadata Research Center, College of Computing and Informatics, Drexel University, by celebrating metadata research at Drexel and in the Philadelphia area. We welcome metadata enthusiasts, students, folks from academia, government, and industry! The celebration looks at metadata broadly—standards, semantics, ontologies, linked data, and metadata for data science. Lightning talks will be given by leading metadata researchers and graduate researchers. Additionally, attendees are invited to participate in a “shout-it-out.”

A reception will allow for dialog and lively conversation.

See http://cci.drexel.edu/mrc/metropolis/ for more information about participating.
