Alexandra Rivera-González, MPH, in the Department of Health Management and Policy​, will present "Inequities in Health Care in Puerto Rico​."

The multiple factors affecting health care in Puerto Rico have rarely been studied and continue to be unclear, especially following recent major disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and the COVID-19 pandemic. To help fill this knowledge gap, this dissertation studies health care access and utilization in Puerto Rico and how they are affected by system, provider, patient, and environmental factors.
