How Graduate Students Work With the Steinbright Career Development Center
May 19, 2020
When I speak with potential graduate students, one question that I receive is why would I go to graduate school and what will my life look like after I graduate? Making the decision to complete a graduate degree is a big one, whether it is about continuing your education or gaining a new degree to change your career. This is where the Steinbright Career Development Center comes into play to fully support our graduate students no matter which path they take.
Students who are in transition or looking to understand their options for their education or careers can find support through counseling offered by Steinbright. Here, students can schedule an appointment to have either educational or career counseling to determine what will best help them achieve their professional goals. Advising through Steinbright aims to help individuals clarify what they are interested in while looking for educational and career opportunities that position each student for a successful future.

Here, graduate students are introduced to unparalleled experiences in their chosen fields. Whether completed domestically or internationally, the six-month co-op experience allows our students to expand upon their professional network while enhancing their professional résumé in a unique way. The type of opportunities afforded to our graduate students is a direct result of the work of the Steinbright Career Development Center to ensure that we are preparing our graduate students to be as successful as possible in their chosen fields.
