As you know, our cooperative education program (co-op) is an integral part of the Drexel experience and, perhaps, is what even brought you here. So much more than just a standard internship, Drexel Co-op allows you to take real and meaningful positions with industry leaders, ranging from global organizations to innovative startups, enabling you to build an impressive résumé long before graduation.
Co-op gives you the opportunity to test-drive a career with up to 18 months of genuine work experience in the U.S. or around the globe (with International Co-op). While on co-op, you will quickly discover that our broad and constantly growing community of employers will expand your own professional network. Drexel Co-op will be your competitive advantage in the job market and in jump-starting your professional career. Learn more about how Drexel Co-op works.
You'll first begin with our COOP 101 course to ready you for your co-op experience. This 10-week professional development course will introduce you to the co-op program, policies, and how to begin your job search. But, you can also start preparing for your co-op now by building your résumé, volunteering or working part-time, or completing an internship over the summer to enhance your skills and abilities. Then, as early as your sophomore year, you can begin to supplement your classroom education with up to three six-month-long co-ops.
Still have questions about co-op? The Steinbright Career Development Center is your link to co-op and career development during your time at Drexel.
