The Robotics and Mechatronics Lab was initiated with a grant of $1 million from National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Education, and an in-kind gift of robotic equipment from Yamaha Robotics, Co. The lab consists of two sub-labs: the robotics laboratory and the Internet-based system Rockwell Automation Laboratory. Students learn basic (component-level) knowledge and skills in the Robotics and Automation Laboratory; then develop integrated Internet-based knowledge by working in the Internet System Laboratory. The lab supports robotics, automation, and control education for the Engineering Technology program.
