Programmable Logic Controllers

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and microcontrollers (MCUs) are becoming ubiquitous in the automation of a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. The PLC Laboratory houses six state-of-the-art Allen-Bradley PLC stations with pneumatic and motor application panels and six high-performance Freescale microcontroller stations. Students work on projects emulating real-life industrial process and control problems such as automated positioning and drilling and motor control using state-of-the-art integrated design environments.
