The 3D Design & Process Laboratory houses a solid CAD modeler (Pro/Engineer, MasterCAM, and Solidworks) as well as AutoCAD for fast design iteration and 3D visualization. The CAD geometry is interpreted by the CAM software in order to generate optimal tool path for CNC machining and Rapid Prototyping Machines (RPM).
