Drexel CAEE offers undergraduate and graduate programs in three related fields. Each addresses a different part of the built and natural environment.
Civil Engineering — Design, build, operate, and renew infrastructure and urban systems. A strong fit for students interested in structures, transportation, geotechnical engineering, water resources, construction, or infrastructure resilience.
Architectural Engineering — Design the structures and technical systems that make buildings work. A strong fit for students interested in building structures, HVAC, energy, indoor environments, digital building design, or construction.
Environmental Engineering — Design solutions that protect people and natural systems from pollution and environmental hazards. A strong fit for students interested in water, air quality, treatment, public health, sustainability, ecosystems, or climate resilience.
A Connected CAEE Experience
Across all three majors, students learn through design, laboratories, co-op, industry engagement, faculty research, and work connected to Philadelphia. With Drexel’s transition to semesters, CAEE is launching a more connected curriculum with deeper projects and progressive design experiences.
Graduate Study
CAEE offers master’s programs and doctoral programs in Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering, along with accelerated options for qualified undergraduates.

Bachelor’s Degrees
Envision and construct the systems and design of safe, economic and environmentally sound buildings and their operations.
Work on design solutions in the public sphere or in critical infrastructure, including water systems, bridges, roads, structural systems, green buildings, pollution mitigation and public transit.
