What's Behind Increased Violence During Summer?

Research from Leah Schinasi, PhD, an assistant professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, which found that rates of violent crime and disorderly conduct increased when daily temperatures are higher, was mentioned in a June 10 Scripps News story that aired on KSHB-TV (NBC Kansas City), WXMI-TV (Fox Grand Rapids, Michigan), and other outlets, about why violent crime crimes increase during the summer.
