Drexel Dornsife’s Impact on Public Health
Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health was founded on the core values of health as a human right and health equity, with a special commitment to urban health (in our home city of Philadelphia and cities across the globe).
Our school provides students with state-of–the-art public health education in theory, methods, and practical skills (including leadership, civic engagement, and science-based advocacy) while keeping pace with an evolving public health landscape.
Dornsife is a leader in public health and urban research that translates knowledge into actions that improve population health and reduce health inequities, and the school excels at community-engaged public health locally and globally.
The Student Experience at Drexel Dornsife
Through Dornsife’s Office of Education, students are supported by faculty and staff who make every effort to ensure their success in academic and professional goals and provide:
- Support for a positive and inclusive student experience
- Help in navigating Drexel and Philly
- Guidance through academic advising, support services, wellness resources, and career planning
- Connection to experiential learning, peers, alumni, and job opportunities
Dornsife students come to the school with a keen interest in community engagement and social justice, and our school provides them with opportunities to work to improve the health of diverse Philadelphia communities through education, research, and service.
