Alina Schnake-Mahl, ScD, and Jaquelyn Jahn, PhD, assistant professors in the Dornsife School of Public Health, wrote a June 23 Philadelphia Inquirer opinion article about new research showing that none of the states that ban or severely limit abortion offer paid family leave. They argue that this double whammy of mandated birth and state neglect has grave health consequences.
