The educational partnership between Drexel University’s School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS), in the University's Nick Howley College of Engineering and Computing, and the Comcast Corporation will expand to welcome a new group of employees into the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (MSAIML) program this fall.
The partnership, now in its sixth year, enables students from Comcast to advance their skills in cutting-edge technologies by participating in Drexel SCIS programs designed with the company to address business needs. The program has already reached a number of milestones since its inception:
- The third Comcast cohort will graduate this summer from SCIS’s MS in Software Engineering program.
- The second cohort in the Drexel MS in Business Information Technology program, a partnership between SCIS and Drexel’s LeBow College of Business, will also complete its studies and graduate this summer.
- The MS in AIML initial cohort, which began classes in the fall 2025, will now be joined by this second group, beginning classes in fall 2026.
Designed for 35–40 Comcast employees, the master’s degree features three embedded certificates: Applied AI & ML, Computational AI & ML, and Big Data Analytics. The program provides students with a strong foundation in these fields with a focus on mathematical principles, algorithms, tools and applications as they pertain to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Students will gain competency in fundamental methods and techniques in artificial intelligence and machine learning and apply it to real company data sets and data analysis tasks with the help of state-of-the-art technologies, tools and platforms.
Since its inception in January 2021, this ongoing educational collaboration between Drexel and Comcast affirms the commitment of each organization to preparing today’s workforce for tomorrow’s world.
