Transforming Drexel

Drexel’s transformation also includes a change from a quarter system to semesters for all academic programs across the university.

About the College of Engineering and Computing

Beginning with the 2026–27 academic year, the College of Engineering; the College of Computing and Informatics; and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems will come together to become the College of Engineering and Computing (CoEC) — uniting these three distinct schools:

For students, this integration will provide the ability to freely explore their interests and passions, to engage in a wide variety of experiential educational opportunities in addition to co-op, and to graduate with a degree that truly mirrors the collaboration and breadth and depth of knowledge and skills that are required in today’s workforce.

Drexel’s transformation also includes a change from a quarter system to semesters for all academic programs across the university.
