Major: Computer Science
Year: Pre-Junior
Hometown: Kolkata, India
I chose this major because... I really enjoy problem solving and especially using technology to tackle complex ideas that otherwise feel difficult. Achieving the final outcome of a problem only opens doors to more questions and that is something that drives me. This endless pursuit is what fascinates my interests and burns the flames of my desire to learn more.
Favorite Course(s): CS 380: Artificial Intelligence, CS 265: Advanced Programming, SE 310: Software Architecture
Clubs/Extracurricular Activities: Peer Tutor @ CCI, Student Researcher @ VIP
Co-ops I’ve done: ML Engr. @ JSW
Favorite thing/place at Drexel: Drexel University Recreation Center (Urec), Lancaster Walk
When I'm not at Drexel, I'm... Hitting the gym and exploring restaurants/cafes around Philadelphia.
When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should... Go for a run along the Schuykill, late-night McDonald's, visit Old City, and go for a 76ers basketball game.
Advice to new/incoming CCI students: Don't be afraid to try new things; be afraid of not trying. Mistakes are part of the learning process, so adopt a "debugging" mindset and form close relationships with your professors and mentors. This approach will make you more excited about new experiences and help you build valuable connections. With so many areas to explore in CCI and Drexel, staying curious is key. Embrace Curiosity!
What is your dream job: Working as a Chief Technology Officer at a company.
Favorite Animated Character: Doraemon
