I chose this major because... I chose computer science because I have always been curious about how things work behind the screen, and I like the challenge of solving problems step by step until everything clicks. For me, CS feels like both a creative and logical space where I can build things that are useful while also experimenting and exploring. I also see it as a field that opens doors, whether in data science, web development, or combining technology with other passions like design or community projects. It is a major that keeps me learning, and I like that it constantly pushes me to think in new ways.

When I'm not at Drexel, I'm... When I’m not at Drexel, I’m usually walking around the city with my friends, exploring new food spots, or going thrift shopping.
When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should... When you are in Philadelphia, I think you should explore Old City, try some food in South Philly, walk along the Schuylkill River Trail, and check out the thrift shops and coffee spots around Center City.
Advice to new/incoming CCI students: My advice to new CCI students is to stay curious and not be afraid to ask questions. Classes can move quickly, but there are many resources such as professors, TAs, classmates, and student organizations that can help you along the way. Try to get involved early, whether that is through clubs, projects, or simply talking to people in your classes, because those connections will make your experience much better.
What is your dream job? My dream job is to be a software engineer at a company like Pinterest or Google, where I can work on building creative, impactful technology that reaches millions of people.

My name is Lyutfiya Yussupova and I am a pre-junior majoring in Computer Science at Drexel University. I serve as the Event Coordinator for Women in Computing Society (WiCS) and I am a Performing Arts Scholar as a dancer with the Drexel Dance Ensemble. I am also a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, where I enjoy building connections and giving back to the community. Outside of academics and leadership roles, I love exploring Philadelphia, trying new food spots, and spending time with friends.
