Our Graduate Admissions Team Is Here for You
It's amazing how many buzzwords and catch phrases have seemingly lost their meanings in the last few weeks. How many times can we use "unprecedented" or "never-before-seen" or "constantly evolving" before they start to feel meaningless?
I feel like every time I have started communication with my students or staff (or family!) in the last few weeks, I have started with one of these phrases. It's hard not to feel a little disingenuous at times.
But really, truly, this is a thing like none of us have seen in our lifetimes: professional, personal, or societal. How do you plan for the unplannable? There's no checklist or playbook for this sort of thing. We're having to write it as we go.
In that spirit, we want you to know that our admissions staff, while physically out of our office space and off the road for the spring, is still here for you.
A university is an ecosystem. It's about the individual's learning and living, our academic pursuits, our social endeavors, and our livelihoods all dependent upon one another. It's our home and our work and our school and our community and our future selves all wrapped up into a 96-acre radius, contained within the walls we have built to keep us secure and well taken care of.
And when that starts to feel unavailable, it is a LOT to cope with as a community.
But I've been so heartened by how available we have made ourselves here at Drexel. Not just for our current students and each other, but also for our prospective students and our community at large. When every single daily decision we face requires deep consideration of all of our systems and populations, I have remained confident by all I've seen and how these decisions are approached through the lens of care for our students and our community, putting safety and the goodness of all our people at the forefront.
And in a time when much is uncertain, this level of unwavering support feels pretty amazing.
In that spirit, we want you to know that our admissions staff, while physically out of our office space and off the road for the spring, is still here for you. We are constantly monitoring our emails, through both enroll@drexel.edu and our personal email addresses. Feel free to reach out to your Graduate Admissions Representative directly. We'll be hosting online One-on-One Live Chats where you can connect directly with our office at our Graduate Virtual Experience, where you can also view informational videos, our campus Virtual Tour, admissions blogs, and links to the programs and virtual events happening at each of the colleges that Graduate Admissions represents.
Drexel University's community is one like no other. We remain excited about finding ways for you to become a Dragon, and to have the opportunity to feel this same level of support in our truly outstanding community. There is much to look forward to.
