About Me
I grew up riding my bike in a charming 1.6 square mile town in New Jersey called Milltown, once known for its mill, and spent my undergraduate years in the heart of Princeton attending the only choir college in the world. I am absolutely loving working and living in Philadelphia and immersing myself in the sights, smells, and sounds of the big city. In my free time, I sing, practice yoga, and explore the city by electric bike!
What advice would you give to a high school student applying to college?
Really experience as much as you can, as early as you can. Shadow current students in your programs and schools of interest, connect with faculty members there, spend time with the community on campus, discuss your career interests, skills and goals with current and prospective counselors and teachers - even network with people currently working in the jobs you are interested in. By truly immersing yourself in the field and atmosphere, you can get a sense of its fit.
Favorites
Place on Campus:
I may be biased but the Main Building is my favorite place on campus thus far, particularly the Picture Gallery. This architectural masterpiece is filled to the brim with rich history and stunning artistry from the marble floors up.
Restaurant/Food Truck:
There are so many wonderful restaurants and food trucks in University City but Sue’s Lunch Truck is one of my favorites. I usually order a spicy veggie cheeseburger and a hazelnut iced coffee but the whole menu is truly fantastic for any craving.
Philadelphia Landmark/Location:
As a classically trained musician, the Metropolitan Opera House is a special place to me. I have performed at the Kimmel Center so that landmark is also a favorite of mine.
