Priya Jyotishi, Fashion Design Grad ’19 alum, investigated sustainable fibers grown in pesticide and insecticide free farms, and zero waste processes for knitwear. She created her graduate collection using the Shima Seiki computerized knitting systems in Westphal’s state-of-the-art knitting lab. Her research was published in the proceedings of the Fashion, Style & Global Culture conference held at Drexel in 2019. Priya currently works at Propel-LLC as a textile technologist where her job focuses on elevating the user-experience by introducing smarter e-textiles and wearable technologies capable of bettering the lives of millions across the world.
