Meet the ARC Team

The ARC is composed of a dedicated team of leaders representing different areas of expertise, led by Rebecca Weidensaul, PhD.

Rebecca Weidensaul, PhD

Rebecca Weidensaul, PhD is the assistant vice president of Enrollment Management & Student Success. Throughout her tenure at Drexel, Dr. Weidensaul has brought leadership to support diverse communities within the student body, assessing and championing their specific needs to develop comprehensive resources and services to ensure their success.

In her current role as assistant vice president, Dr. Weidensaul oversees the ARC (Academic Resources Center), while supervising the team that oversees the Center for Learning and Academic Success Services (CLASS), Drexel’s Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LS-AMP), and the Office of Inter-College Advising (I-CA). She also provides direct leadership of The Center for Military and Veteran Services (CMVS), which includes the Veterans Task Force and the Masci Family Student Veterans Lounge.

In her previous role within the Student Life leadership team, Dr. Weidensaul supervised the Office of International Students and Scholar Services, Center for Inclusive Education and Scholarship, the Drexel Autism Support Program, and other student success programs to support first-generation students. Part of this work was to ensure that appropriate spaces were available for many identity-based student communities; she participated in the planning of a new Intercultural Center on campus, attending to the spiritual and religious practices of students and maximizing the opportunities for students to engage in cultural exchanges that build a welcoming, inclusive, respectful, and engaging campus community. She also worked side-by-side with Drexel Hillel and campus partners for the fall 2016 opening of the Perelman Center for Jewish Life and the Muslim Student Association to provide their first Prayer Room facility.

Prior to her appointment to Student Life, Dr. Weidensaul provided nearly two decades of leadership in the Athletics department at Drexel, mainly focused on NCAA Compliance, life skills education, and founding the ACHIEVE Center. Prior to her work in Athletics, Dr. Weidensaul was a member of the Undergraduate Admissions team.

Rebecca Signore

Rebecca Signore joined Drexel University in 2014 as the director of the Center for Academic Success on the Center City campus, where she oversaw academic support for the College of Nursing and Health Professions, the Dornsife School of Public Health, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies. Under Rebecca’s direction, CLASS has expanded peer and professional academic coaching to serve all students and has extended these services to include a learning specialist who specifically supports students with learning and other disabilities. Rebecca also works closely with colleagues across the institution as a founding member of the Learning Alliance, which she organized in 2015 with two other learning center directors in an effort to enhance the Drexel student experience with academic support services. In addition to her leadership roles, Rebecca works one on one with students as an academic coach, helping them to refine and strengthen their study skills, behaviors, and habits. She holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and an MA from Arcadia University, and she is currently a PhD candidate at Old Dominion University.
