How to Apply to Become an RA

There is a formal process for RA selection that takes place mainly during the winter term of the academic year. Interested applicants are required to complete the following steps:

  • Attend an RA Selection Information Meeting
  • Submit an application (only accessible if you attended an information meeting)
  • Participate in a group process selection session (details will be emailed to selected candidates)
  • Participate in a video submission (details will be emailed to selected candidates)
  • Participate in an individual interview (details will be emailed to selected candidates)

Below is the schedule for the 2022 RA Selection Process.

RA Selection Information Meetings

Below is a list of dates and locations for the RA Selection Information Meetings. This is the first step in the process and all interested applicants are required to attend a session and sign in. All sessions will take place virtually. Interested candidates must register for a session via Zoom no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the session.

  • Tuesday, November 9 from 7–8 p.m. ET
  • Wednesday, November 10 from 7–8 p.m. ET
  • Wednesday, January 5 from 7–8 p.m. ET
  • Thursday, January 6 from 7-8 p.m. ET

RA Application

Anyone who has attended an information meeting will receive access to the RA application, which must be fully completed by Monday January 10, by 8 a.m. in order to move forward in the process. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.

Selection Notification

Letters will be sent to all applicants indicating if they are being offered a position for the 2022–2023 academic year during the last week in March via Drexel email.

Applicants will receive one of three emails:

  • Position Offer: States that you are being offered an RA position for the 2022–2023 academic year.
  • Alternate Offer: States that you are being offered a spot in the alternate pool. The alternate pool is a group of candidates who will be considered for RA positions that become available throughout the summer and academic year.
  • No Position Offer: States that we are unable to offer you an RA position.
