Tamara Galoyan is from Armenia and is currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership Development and Learning Technologies doctoral program in the School of Education, Drexel University. Her research interests focus on educational technologies, learner cognition, formal and informal learning, game-based learning, and curriculum design. Tamara is also working as a volunteer teacher at the Language Program Department at the International House, Philadelphia.
Prior to entering the program, Tamara earned a Master's degree in TEFL from the American University of Armenia and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the Yerevan State Linguistic University, Armenia.
She has been working as a TEFL instructor and a course developer in various educational institutions in Armenia, including the American University of Armenia, the Yerevan State Linguistic University, and the International Academy of Business. More specifically, she taught the Intensive Summer English course and the Academic Writing course for undergraduate students, TOEFL IBT, IELTS, Business English, and English for General Purposes. She also has an experience in tutoring, mentoring, and designing offline and e-learning courses for EFL teachers and learners.
Tamara also worked as a research assistant at the American University of Armenia, where she conducted research studies for graduate programs, and assisted in developing course materials. She was also responsible for coordinating the Pre-school Childcare program offered by the university.
