Shadi Dini is a Ph.D. student at Drexel University School of Education. Prior to this position, she joined the School of Education as a visiting faculty in 2015. She got her other Ph.D. degree in Applied Linguistics in 2014 from University of Tehran. She was also a Fulbright scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, and a visiting research scholar at Texas A&M University and has done research on the use of technology in language education, instruction and evaluation of L2 pragmatics, and bilingualism. Currently, she is doing research on immersive virtual reality and bilingual children with autism from neurolinguistics and pedagogical perspectives. This interdisciplinary research could have implications for the fields of neurolinguistics, medicine, learning technologies, and bilingual education.
