Cindy Yovanov is a doctoral student in Drexel University's Ph.D. in Education program. She is a research assistant with the team in the Methods Lab at the School of Education. Her research interests are broadly based on organizational behavior and culture within organizations of all sizes, particularly the relationship between performance evaluations and employee satisfaction. She is concerned about the inequity inherent in the modern institutional education model and its connection to our broader capitalist economy. She hopes to conduct research that will reveal parallels between education and employment in an effort to ameliorate extreme socio-economic disparities. Originating from New Hampshire, Cindy's journey to the Philadelphia area in 2016 marked a pivotal shift in her career trajectory. Having cultivated an extensive professional background in the finance industry, including leadership roles in retail banking and wealth management, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her academic pursuits. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics, she recently attained her MBA with a concentration in Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. Upon completion of the Ph.D. program, she aspires to pursue a faculty position within a university setting with the goal of sharing the knowledge she acquires through her research and continued study at Drexel University.
