Ellana Black is a PhD Student in the School of Education at Drexel University. Her research interests center on Mind, Brain, and Education Science; international education, development, and exchange; and the psychological factors that influence teaching. She holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Iowa and an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from St. Cloud State University. Ellana has worked with adult and postsecondary learners in a variety of contexts, including teaching international English learners online, leading English language courses in the United States and Brazil, promoting international education programs, providing academic advising, and facilitating online professional development events for global English teachers.
