Salvation Army Adult Rehab Center

Our students provide care for residents in a treatment center seeking to overcome addiction to drugs or alcohol.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (Roxborough). This is a residential program for adults in recovery from drug and alcohol dependence. HOP provides:

  • Weekly walk-in clinic for residents
  • Smoking cessation program in collaboration with Drexel Family Medicine
  • Flu shot clinic

Eliza Shirley House is a transitional homeless shelter for women and children in Center City. Our volunteers provide acute care for the residents.

The Salvation Army Eliza Shirley House (Center City) is an emergency shelter for homeless single women and families.

HOP provides:

  • Weekly walk-in clinic for women and children residents
  • Mental health screening and referral
  • Social needs screening and services referral
  • Healthy snacks/nutrition education
  • Collaboration with Drexel Family Medicine’s “Move It Wwith Mommy and Me” classes
  • Flu shot clinics

Streetside at Prevention Point

At Streetside our students provide nonjudgmental urgent care, HIV and hepatitis C testing and advocacy targeted towards uninsured people, substance users, and individuals in sex work industry.

The mission of Prevention Point Philadelphia is to reduce the harm associated with substance use and sex industry work by promoting health, empowerment and safety while advocating for humane public policies and programs. HOP’s weekly Streetside Clinic provides walk-in urgent care and participates in the naloxone program.

St. Raymond's

St. Raymond's

St. Raymond's is a shelter for homeless individuals over the age of 55 years old with chronic illnesses. Our students provide residents with health screenings, health maintenance and education, and acute/chronic illness management.

Learn More

St. Raymond’s House is a permanent supportive housing program for homeless people with chronic illnesses and disabilities. The program provides support and resources to assist residents in stabilizing their health conditions as well as increasing their skills for independent living through case management, recovery services, health education, employment services and life skills education.

HOP Provides:

  • Walk-in clinic for residents
  • Health education and screening

Time: Thursdays 5–7 p.m.
Who we serve: Homeless individuals with chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, coronary artery diseases, cancer and other acute/chronic conditions.
Special considerations: We have two lovely cats in the facility. Please pre-treat prior to coming in if you are allergic to cats. We also have antihistamines available on site.

The Arc of Philadelphia is a center for low-income adults and children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

The Arc of Philadelphia has led the way in protecting the rights of and promoting opportunities for children and adults with disabilities by advocating with and for all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to promote active citizenship, self-determination and full inclusion. HOP students provide a weekly walk-in clinic for SpArc participants, and participate in the HealthMeet screening and prevention program.

The Life Center of Eastern Delaware County

The Life Center

The Life Center is a shelter for single adults in Delaware County. Our students staff a drop-in clinic in conjunction with Chester Crozer Medical Center faculty and residents.

The Life Center of Eastern Delaware County is one of only two shelters that cater to homeless single adults in Delaware County. The program assists residents with establishing permanent housing and developing life skills. HOP provides a weekly walk-in clinic for residents.
