  • CSO Networking Tip for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a great excuse to connect with the people in your network and say hello. These can be former employers, college professors, former co-workers, etc. Thanksgiving is a great excuse to connect with the people in your network and say hello. These can be former employers, college professors, former co-workers, etc. It doesn’t have to be long or complicated, and it doesn’t have to contain an ask. In fact, you shouldn’t ask for anything. Sometimes the nicest message to get from a contact is simply a friendly expression of caring. Here’s an example: “Happy Thanksgiving, (INSERT FIRST NAME HERE)! I’m thinking of you and wishing you well. The first semester of law school is wrapping up and I’m preparing for final exams. It’s been a whirlwind, and I appreciate your ongoing support and all that I’ve learned from you. Thanks, and let’s keep in touch!”

Don’t overthink this, friends. Send some emails and expect nothing in return except the feeling that you connected. 😊

  • Participate in DiveIN: A Documentary on Race

We're asking you to help us capture how Kline has evolved since 2018. Our documentary will feature interviews with current law students, alums, and Law School faculty and staff. Our goal is to get a full and honest picture of the impact race relations make on our community. Hearing diverse perspectives from members of the Kline School of Law Community is crucial to achieving this goal.

    Dear Kline Community:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to have your voice heard and participate in a unique project exploring race relations in the legal profession.

In 2018, BLSA published a documentary exploring race relations and the impact on the Kline community (check it out here). Since 2018, many world events have shaped race relations in our society and the legal profession. In response, DiveIN is recording a new documentary to see how things have changed over the last five years within the Kline community.

    Get Involved
If you want to participate in this documentary, please complete this form by Friday, November 10. We will schedule interviews and filming sessions to accommodate the academic schedule. There will be food and limited edition DiveIN swag provided for participants.

    Questions or Concerns?
We get it; talking about race can be a bit uncomfortable. But don't let that deter you! Stretching ourselves despite discomfort is where the magic happens. If you're unsure about participating, reach out to Ololade Bello (okb28@drexel.edu), the DiveIN Fellow leading this effort, to explore how you can be part of this in a way that feels right for you.

    Warm regards,
    DiveIN Committee
