Enable Full Disk Access for macOS apps
Some apps available to install from Self Service require your consent before accessing files on your device. Depending on the app, you might need to enable Full Disk Access after the app in installed.
macOS Monterey or earlier
- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access.
- Select Click the lock to make changes. If prompted, enter your password and then select Unlock.
- Select the checkbox for the app that requires full disk access, to enable Full Disk Access.
macOS Ventura or later
- From the Apple menu, select System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access.
- Toggle on the app that requires full disk access, to enable Full Disk Access.
- If prompted, enter your password and then select Unlock.
Note: Enabling Full Disk Access for an app is only recommended if Full Disk Access is requested or required by the app.
