Find Your Operating System Version

Drexel IT or your IT department might ask for your operating system version to help with troubleshooting.

Follow the steps for your device's operating system to find which version your device is running.

Windows 11

  1. Select Start  > Settings  > System > About.
  2. Under Device specifications > System type you'll see if your device is running a 32‐bit or 64‐bit version of Windows.
  3. Under Windows specifications you'll see which edition and version of Windows your device is running.

Windows 10

  1. Select Start  > Settings  > System > About.
  2. Under Device specifications > System type you'll see if your device is running a 32‐bit or 64‐bit version of Windows.
  3. Under Windows specifications you'll see which edition and version of Windows your device is running.

macOS

  • On the Apple menu , select About This Mac.
  • Your device's macOS name and version appears here. If you also need the build number, select the version number to view the build number.

iOS

  • Go to Settings > General > About.
  • Your device's iOS software version appears here.

Android

  • Go to Settings > About phone > Android version.
  • Your device's Android version, Android security update, and build number appears here.
