MERHG Seminar: Immigration stress among caregivers of young children in Philadelphia

This will be brief presentation followed by discussion of Dr. Le-Scherbans current research.

Dr. Lê-Scherban is Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan and an MPH in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research centers on health disparities with a focus on children’s health disparities, life course determinants, place-based initiatives, and immigrant health. She currently leads an NIH-funded project to investigate how food insecurity, neighborhood conditions, and food assistance programs come together to affect growth in young children. She is also Philadelphia site principal investigator of Children’s HealthWatch, a multi-site research and policy network to improve the health and development of young children and their families.
