Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC)

SPCC program is a cornerstone strategy of the EPA to prevent oil spills from reaching our nation’s water. Unlike oil spill contingency plans that typically address spill cleanup measures after a spill has occurred, SPCC plans ensure that facilities put in place containment and other countermeasures that would prevent oil spills from reaching navigable waters.

The university’s SPCC plan covers all the underground and above ground storage tanks, as well as the fueling operations for vehicles and buses.

Immediately report to EHRS any oil or gasoline spills. Additional information can be found on the EPA Oil Spills Prevention and Preparedness Regulations website
