DNI serves as an umbrella organization to coordinate nanomaterials research across all departments and colleges at Drexel. The Institute itself hosts research on a variety of nanomaterials-related topics, including interdisciplinary efforts with other departments and institutions. DNI researchers have published hundreds of papers in journals such as Carbon, ACS Nano, Advanced Energy Materials, Science, and Nature.
