‘U.S. News’ Rates Drexel Engineering Graduate, Online Programs Highly

Drexel Engineering programs continue to be ranked among the best in the nation by US News & World Report.

In its 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings, the publication ranked Drexel #37 for materials engineering, #39 for environmental engineering, #51 for civil engineering, #53 for mechanical engineering, #57 for computer engineering, #58 for electrical engineering, and #60 for chemical engineering. Each program was ranked, at minimum, in the top 40 percent of its peers, with many landing in the top third.

The rankings continue a strong year for Drexel Engineering program rankings. In January, U.S. News placed Drexel at #37 in its Best Online Master’s in Engineering list. The college placed #8 in Best Online Master’s in Engineering Management, #12 for Best Online Master’s in Industrial Engineering, #13 for Best Online Master’s in Electrical Engineering, and #28 for Best Online Engineering Programs for Veterans.

“Our programs are taught by researchers who are at the top of their field, and the work that they and our graduate students do is shaping the future of our industry and the world,” said Drexel Engineering Dean Sharon L. Walker, PhD. “It is gratifying to see our good work reflected in these rankings.”

In December, U.S. News released its Best Global Universities rankings. In the subject rankings of that list, Drexel placed #29 worldwide in materials science – good for #9 in the United States – and #39 for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology – which translates to #7 in the U.S.
