Associate Professor Hao Cheng has accepted an invitation to join the Editorial Board for Bioactive Materials.
Bioactive Materials is an international, peer-reviewed research publication covering all aspects of bioactive materials. The journal publishes research papers, reviews and rapid communications that are concerned with the science and engineering of next-generation biomaterials that come into contact with cells, tissues or organs across all living species. It has an impact factor of 14.59, which places it 1st in the category materials science, biomaterials and 2nd in engineering, biomedical for 2020 according to Clarivate Analytics.
Cheng oversees the Nanobiomaterials and Cell Engineering Laboratory, conducting research at the interface of materials science and medicine, spanning fundamental studies to translational research. His lab uses engineering techniques to investigate nanomaterial-cell interactions and develops new biomaterials for immunotherapy. He is a recipient of the inaugural 2018 Nano Research Young Innovators Award in nanobiotechnology.
