The College of Engineering joins the worldwide engineering community in the observation of Engineers Week, a celebration of the contributions of engineers and the possibilities that can be realized by its many fields. For a full week, student organizations, faculty and alumni will bring engineering out of the labs and classrooms with design competitions, trivia contests, panel discussions and more.

  • Monday, February 20
    • Electrical and Computer Engineering Day

      Celebrate all things electrical and computer engineering! Get to know Drexel's ECE department, tour the state-of-the-art Materials for Electronic Smart Systems lab and meet faculty, staff and students. Learn about all the careers and opportunities in the discipline.

      The Mechanical Engineering Department is hosting a celebration of MEM research and activities in the brand new Senior Design Studio. Join in to check out the demonstrations, poster presentations, student organizations, meet the faculty and enjoy some food with the community!
    • Bridge Building Competition
      4:00-6:00 pm
      Bossone Atrium
      The Drexel Steel Bridge Team, Architectural Engineering Institute and the CAEE Department are hosting a K'Nex bridge building competition. Participants will be teamed up to create the lightest and strongest bridges. Teams will be scored on weight and strength to find the winner!
    • Straw Tower Competition

      Join Drexel SME for a multi-discipline team competition building structurally stable straw towers with limited supplies. Join in the fun!
    • NSBE General Body Meeting

      Hill Seminar Room
      Join the National Society of Black Engineers for their third general body meeting of the term. The meeting will feature a special guest Q&A with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

      Drexel Electric Racing will host a racing sim competition! Multiple simulations will be set up so come race against friends and others to win a prize for the best lap time! Try your hand at racing and learn about Drexel's electric racecar team.
