About Seth Kovnat:

Seth has made a career of rapidly designing, building, and flying complex hardware for cutting edge spacecraft and aircraft programs. He currently manages payloads accommodations for all SpaceX payloads. Seth leads the team that configures every mission, developing and producing complex hardware on impossibly fast timelines. This includes Starlink, Rideshare, NASA and more.

Before taking over Falcon 9 Payloads, Seth played a critical role in the development of the new Dragon vehicle, including designing the first human-rated and reusable Dragon Heat Shield, the Dragon Trunk’s Unpressurized Cargo System, and the Stage 2 Adapter that attaches Dragon to the Falcon 9 rocket.

Seth graduated with his bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He was recently honored as a member of the university’s 2022 40-under-40 list for his career accomplishments.
