Drexel University’s co-op program is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected in the world. The co-op program allows students to alternate between periods of classroom study and full-time employment in six-month stretches. We have placement for local, national, and international opportunities. Stipends may be available to qualified students.
Our CBE students have enjoyed co-ops at ExxonMobil, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, the USDA, and the Philadelphia Water Department, to name just a few. Among the job titles our co-ops have fulfilled are chemist, consulting engineer, environmental engineer, utility program associate, and water resources intern, among many others.

Graduate Co-ops
Graduate students have the option to pursue a co-op as part of their Master's program. In conjunction with the Steinbright Career Development Center, students will be provided an overview of professionalism, resume writing, and the job search process. Co-op will be for a six-month position running in the summer/fall terms. Students will not earn academic credit for the co-op but will earn 9 non-academic co-op units per term.
