Jonathan Ojany astute, resilient, and transformational leader, with over 20 years of extensive global and functional experience
developing and executing competitively advantageous strategies that consistently deliver sustainable, winning performance.
A dual US/Kenyan citizen, he has worked around the world garnering multi-functional/ multi-industry experience leading game
changing strategic and operational initiatives resulting in sustainable, transformative growth.
Jonathan is the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy and Transformation for KFC-US where he joined in May 2023. In this role he responsible
for all KFC-US finance activities across 4,200 stores including the development, approval and execution of policies, strategies, objectives, and plans
designed to achieve approved growth, revenue, and profit targets. He leads the growth and transformation agenda for KFC’s US business.
Prior to joining KFC, Jonathan spent 8 years at The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC), most recently as the VP and Head of Center Operations and Strategy
based in Atlanta where he successfully led global growth initiatives. He concurrently served as the Chief of Staff to Coca-Cola’s Global President and
Chief Operating Officer driving performance, strategy, and talent development initiatives across the company’s +200 markets, scaling global best
practices to ensure local market relevance, resilience, and agility. Prior to these global roles, he was the head of Strategy, Planning, Insights and
Digital (Data and Analytics) for half of Africa initially based in Nairobi, Kenya but later in Lagos, Nigeria. Here he set the strategic vision and
organizational imperatives for region, delivering double digit profit growth and unrivaled value share leadership.
Prior to TCCC, he spent two years in the Hospitality industry as the Senior Global Director for Strategy at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). Here
he developed strategic and brand visions focused on improving hotel profitability across IHGs 17 brands and +5,000 hotels worldwide.
Jonathan spent 5 years at McKinsey and Company based in Chicago advising clients across multiple industries and geographies. He led teams that
developed competitively advantaged and implementable strategic and commercial plans for Private, Public, and Non-Profits client, advising their CSuite leadership and boards on growth opportunities, consistently delivering above client expectations, and positively influencing shareholder
returns. He also led talent development and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI-B) initiatives for McKinsey and Company’s North America
Client service arm.
Most recently, Jonathan became a Presidential Leadership Scholar (2023 Class of Presidential Leadership Scholars Announced - Presidential Leadership Scholars), an initiative jointly run by the George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson presidential libraries focused
developing bold and principled leaders committed to facing critical challenges, both in the US and around the world.
He is committed to tackling critical challenges worldwide including championing the benefits of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging as well as
environmental conservation and sustainability.
An avid traveler, Jonathan has visited over fifty countries across five continents, where he enjoys immersing himself in the unique geographies,
people, cultural and gastronomic delights that each region enjoys.
