Mr. Grimes has been President of GrimesEnergyLeadership,LLC since 2019. He retired from Tennessee Valley Authority in 2018 as Executive Vice President and Chief Generation Officer. He joined TVA in 2013 to lead the nuclear operating team in completion of the first New Nuclear unit in the U.S. in twenty years. Prior to joining TVA, he was senior vice president of Engineering and Technical Services for Exelon Generation. At Exelon he held leadership positions at the plant, regional and corporate fleet levels. In addition, at Exelon Nuclear, Mr. Grimes held various leadership positions including senior vice president, Mid-Atlantic Operations, and site vice president at Peach Bottom Nuclear Station.

Mr. Grimes has held positions on the Board of Directors of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and the EPRI Electrification steering group, and the Board of Trustees of the Delaware Valley Science Fairs. He served as the industry Executive Sponsor of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) Accident Tolerant Fuel initiative, was member of NEI New Nuclear Plant Advisory Committee, as well as an Nuclear Industry Advisor for multiple advanced reactor design entities. He held positions on the Electric Power Research Institute Nuclear Power Council, Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Executive Advisory Council, Nuclear Energy Institute's Nuclear Strategic Issues Advisory Council, Nuclear Safety Review Boards for multiple U.S. nuclear organizations, and Drexel University's Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board.

At Drexel, in addition to serving on the College of Engineering Dean's Advisory Council, Mr. Grimes serves on the President's Energy and the Environment Council.
