Through his own firm, Ascendt Group LLC, Dr. D'Ascenzo provides program management and business expansion consulting for organizations in the defense and national security industry. After his Drexel Co-Op with GE aerospace, he held engineering, program management and executive roles with GE, Lockheed and BAE. He is an adjunct professor of executive program management at the Defense Acquisition University.
Dr D'Ascenzo is a founding and active member of the Veterans Career Initiative for the Philadelphia Union League, is a natural resources conservation officer for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and co-founder of Recycle-the-World sustainability non-profit.
In addition to serving on the College of Engineering Dean's Executive Advisory Council, Dr. D'Ascenzo serves on the Drexel University Alumni Association Board of Governors and is an annual judge in the Drexel Baiada Institute incubator competition.
