Join Drexel's College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) for an engaging conversation with Jordan Jobs McCleary, BS information systems '16, as she discusses the importance of self-advocacy from her time on campus to her position at Google. Learn how these skills have been pivotal in her academic and professional success and gain valuable insight on how you can champion yourself in your own career.
Speaker Bio:
Jordan Jobs McCleary graduated from Drexel with an Information Systems degree in 2016 and began a career in cybersecurity. She started as a Cybersecurity Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City, focusing on improving cyber programs and ensuring regulatory compliance. While at PwC, she became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and specialized in process automation. In 2021, Jordan joined Google NYC as a Technical Program Manager, where she established the Issues Management program for Engineering Compliance. She now works in the Global Affairs Strategy and Operations team, working with executives to effectively manage regulatory intake and compliance. She is committed to mentoring students, speaking on panels, and advising women-led organizations. In 2024, she volunteered with WAKE (Women’s Alliance for Knowledge Exchange) in Trinidad and Tobago to advise Caribbean based and women-led climate justice NGOs.
During her time at Drexel University, Jordan was part of the Pennoni Honors College, a STAR and DAAD-RISE Scholar, President of Delta Zeta sorority, and Secretary of the West Indian Student Establishment (WISE). Jordan had all three co-ops in Philadelphia including University of Penn Health System, FMC Corporation and Security Risk Advisors. She was also the 2016 CCI student commencement speaker.
