We are excited to announce the NEW Drexel University’s College of Computing & Informatics hackathon, Philly Codefest: High School Edition.
Since launching in 2013, Philly Codefest has welcomed professionals, educators, and college students alike to compete in a free software and hardware hackathon that participants from all experience levels and backgrounds to work together to develop innovative solutions to help solve real world challenges. This May, for the first time, high school students are invited to participate in Philly Codefest: High School Edition on Saturday, May 10 at the College of Computing and Informatics. This one-day hackathon is open to all high school students, grades 9th–12th, in the Philadelphia area. Philly Codefest: High School Edition is a day of innovation, coding, and collaboration, designed to inspire young minds to create solutions to tackle real-world challenges. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced coder, you'll have the opportunity to team up, develop creative solutions, and showcase your projects.
Students will spend the day working in a team to create a project and compete to win great prizes! Throughout the day, Drexel CCI faculty, professional staff, and current CCI students will offer support through workshops, project ideation sessions, mentoring, and judging.
