Biography

Fenske's major teaching and research interests are digital libraries, informatics, knowledge management tools and agents and information technology systems. He has been involved with the design and the deployment of a major digital library service while at Indiana University. He presented digital library concepts to national and international audiences as part of his previous work with IBM.

- Raised from IBM an in-kind gift of $400,000 for the VARIATIONS Project beyond normal educational discounting. 1995.
- Wrote with Jon Dunn a successful grant for video digitization to the peer reviewed New Computing Initiatives program (approx. value $41,000). 1994-1995.
- Department of Education Title IIC grant. Project Director for the Indiana. 1993-94.
- University subcontract of an AMLG grant hosted by Cornell University to contribute NACO headings for the participating AMLG libraries. 1993-4.
