BS MS in Education - Four Year Program
Overview
Drexel University offers an accelerated degree program in Education in which students have the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in four years.
The only one of its kind in the country in Teacher Education, students graduate with two degrees in the time it normally takes to complete a bachelor’s, becoming more marketable to prospective employers.
The program is also a beneficial economic option, as all courses are offered at the undergraduate tuition rate.
Two Degrees in Four Years
Students apply to the program as an in-coming freshmen and complete undergraduate courses for four terms. Graduate courses begin during the student’s sophomore year. Students then continue to take courses each term, completing all degree requirements by the spring term of senior year.
At the end of the sophomore year, a review of the student's content and pedagogy coursework will determine acceptance into the Teacher Certification Program.
The four- year accelerated program includes student teaching but does not include a co-op experience.
